Working with Mountain House was a fantastic experience. From the assessment and bidding process with Tyler to the installation with Gabe, they were communicative, friendly, and knowledgeable. Gabe, in particular, was impressive, accomplishing a significant amount of work in a short period. We had been without heat for over two weeks, and they were able to fit us into their schedule as soon as we decided to go with them. Gabe removed the old ductwork and 35-year-old heater, then installed a 3-unit mini-split system in just 3 days. We are thrilled with the outcome.
As an engineer and inspector, I am very selective when it comes to contractors. When the owner, Tyler, arrived to provide an estimate, he was highly professional and presented three options. His prices were very reasonable, and he recommended the best systems for our home. I decided to hire Mountain House Mechanical based on their expertise and pricing. The system I chose was the most expensive option, a 5-zone ductless heat pump with a 48K BTU outdoor unit, a 5-port branch box, four ceiling head units, and one wall-mounted head unit. During the installation, Tyler and his technician, Ryan, covered the work area, cleaned up daily, and thoroughly explained the operation and maintenance of the unit. The noise level is very low, and I can barely hear the system running. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the system's performance and the installation process. Tyler from Mountain House did an amazing job replacing the blower in our heater. He traveled all the way from Santa Rosa to Sea Ranch to diagnose the issue, and then offered to return the same night (even after it had already gotten dark) to replace the blower after retrieving the necessary part from Santa Rosa. He was very easy to communicate with, provided a fair price, and declined my offer to pay him extra for the multiple trips to Sea Ranch. I will definitely use Mountain House Mechanical again if we have any future heating problems.
