Alex, the owner of Ortiz Heating, provided excellent, fair estimate for installing a heat pump system to replace our old gravity heater. I needed to make this change urgently in order to make our home safe for my granddaughter to return to after Bone Marrow Transplant to battle Leukemia. Alex helped me decide how many units I needed inside (2) and how best to mount the cooling unit (on the roof). Wonderful for me was that Ortiz Heating's service included all the electrical work and roof sealing needed. I did not need to secure other contractors as was the case with other HVAC contractors. His crew did the work just as scheduled. We're neat, efficient and friendly. And the system is heating our space beautifully. The heat travels all the way through the house just as I had hoped. It was all finished and inspected according to the timeline I needed. I highly recommend Ortiz Heating and Air Conditioning and will definitely use them again to replace our 2nd gravity heater in the lower flat.
I found Ortiz HVAC through the Diamond Certified Directory when our furnace started to make noises. Alex and his staff were responsive and professional. They explained our options to repair or replace our 40+ year old furnace. Alex was very thorough in his answers to our questions, and we have been keeping warm this winter thanks to their help. I had 3 estimates for a new furnace and AC before I met Alex from Ortiz. Every other estimate was done in a hurry, and no one wanted to answer my questions about the job, which had some complicated elements. Alex was patient, kind, and answered every question in detail. When his crew came to do the work, both Jeremiah and Hector were consistently professional, courteous, and kind. They explained what they were doing, and asked permission whenever they had a question about where to drill. They did a thorough job of cleaning up as well. Everything works beautifully, and the price was in-line with, or less than, the other estimates. Highly recommend!!!
Alex and his team are amazing professionals. We reached out to Alex years ago when we first moved into our home with an old HVAC system. Alex went through our bills and examined our old setup and essentially said a new system wouldn’t help us right now. He was right and it was so refreshing to have a professional tradesman you can trust. I needed advice on the best options for repairing, upgrading, or replacing the very old furnace in my townhouse. I had two companies come out and provide estimates, but neither company seemed very interested in getting my business, and their responses to my questions were lackluster. I ended up replacing the furnace with a heat pump. Their crew did a fantastic job and met the planned timeline exactly. They coordinated the city inspection to wrap things up. Great customer service.
